Here are a few of the many features that feMail provides. The main "Features" section is still under construction, as we are rapidly adding new features to feMail. The Main feMail Window. This is the window that is displayed when feMail starts, it displays your folder list, mail, and a preview of the currently selected message.
The Edit Mail WindowThis window is displayed for creating new Mail Messages, and for editing drafts, forward and replies. You can edit Text Only mail messages, or "rich content" mail messages, which have formatting, images etc.
The Address BookThe feMail address book allows to add as many Groups of addresses as you like - each address can belong to multiple groups. You can drag and drop addresses between groups, or hold down the Ctrl key while dragging to copy a contact to another group. Groups simply "group" contacts, so if a contact is in two different groups there is still only one actual Contact entry, which is displayed in any groups that it is added to.
Editing a ContactAlong with the contacts details you can store notes for each contact, and an image to identify the particular contact.
Mail RulesMail Rules are a great feature that allow to to specify an action to perform on collected emails that match one or more conditions that you specify. You can use mail rules to move an incoming message to a folder other than your inbox, create multiple copies of a message, delete the message, forward or reply, forward as an attachment, mark it as read, and more. You specify a condition by selecting the "Field" (part of the message that you want to check), then selecting the condition and value you want to check with. For example the Field could be "Subject", which check the subject line. The Condition could be "Contains", which checks whether the subject line contains a value. Finally the Value could be "Hello Bob". Any mail that has "Hello Bob" in the subject line would match this condition. You can specify multiple conditions and you can choose whether all conditions need to be matched, or if any condition can be matched to apply to rule (the Match Any checkbox).
Editing Mail RulesEditing mail rules is as simple as choosing what you want the Rule to do from the dropdown, then adding conditions using the Conditions box. The rule below checks if the From (who the sent the message) contains the "@capesoft.com". It also check the Header section of the mail message for a custom header. The "Match Any Condition" means that only on of the conditions need to be matched for the Rule to be used. If this was left blank then all of the Conditions listed would have to match the message in order for the Rule to be used. If the message matches the Conditions listed the rule Moves the message to a folder call "Capesoft".
Saving Attachments Clicking on the Attachment icon on the main window (or when an mail message is opened for viewing) displays the Save Attachments window. This window allows you to save or open any of the attachments. You can select the attachments that you want to save, or save all attachments at once, or just a single attachment to the folder specified.
