If Clarion is so good, why aren't you rich yet?

Many Clarion programmers, indeed many programmers regardless of language, are extremely technically proficient. They generate, and write, good code. Code which gets the job done. On time. On budget. And yet these same programmers don't yet see the full fruit of their labor. They still go from job to job, living hand to mouth.

One of our big mantra's over the past couple of years has been "Work Smarter, Not Harder". What does this mean? It means that programming for a living extends beyond just writing code that works. It means making decisions based on their economic value, and not their technical value. And it occasionally means you need to spend money, in order to make money.

A big part of our goal for his year's World Tour training is to help you put these principles into action. We're doing lots of technical training yes, but we've also set aside sessions to teach, and assist, with creating better looking programs, programs that have more of the WOW factor.

And last, but not least, you're able to rub shoulders with other Clarion programmers. Guys who've been around the block a couple of times. We're not the only ones with the answers, and we encourage attendees to see what others are doing, to see how they are Working Smarter, Not Harder.

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. What are you doing in 2007 to ensure that it's a better year than 2006? If you feel your programs are not living up to their potential, then this is an event you shouldn't miss.

Australians, please note, the Early Bird special ends this Sunday on March 18. Take a few minutes NOW to make a decision. Is 2007 the year you decide to Work Smarter, and not just Harder?
